 It's a first for the comic this week...
But not one to be proud of. plus, Mindwipe strieks and Combat Colin meets his doom! All in my look at ISSUE 271!  This week, to celebrate the imminent release of The Book 2, the Decepticons throw a nice big party in my honour.
How nice of them. Plus, Hawk celebrates the launch of Power Station Alpha by launching his own Power Station Alpha into Senator Larkin. All in my look at ISSUE 270!  Yes folks, the second Transformation book is now very close to coming out! The proof copy is on its way to me and, barring any major issues, it should formally go on sale on Lulu next week. It takes a little longer to filter down to places like Amazon, but it should be on all your favourite online retailers by the start of August.
This also means I'll be able to bring copies with me to TFNation! Which, because it works out cheaper for me to order in bulk, means I can offer it at the lower price of £10 a copy. As a bonus I'll even sign it for you (fun fact: If my proof-reader Stuart Denyer is about, he'll tell you that it's the unsigned ones that are worth money. Every time)! As I'm not a dealer, just a bloke with a bag, I'm only planning to bring about as many as folk ask for in advance. Last time it worked out easier to order slightly more, but if there are any surplus copies on me it will only be a small number. So if you're at the convention, and would like to be one of the first to own a copy, you can contact me in one of the following ways. A little more formal that previously this year so I can keep a better track on who wants what: DM on twitter, @inflatabledalek. Email me at [email protected] You'll need to give me some way of contacting you at the convention, which is why I've got for the more private means of getting in touch rather than just asking people to comment here. Probably twitter DMs are best, but a phone number is fine as well. I'll also bring copies of Volume 1 (amazingly at least one person doesn't have one). Though beware, Andy Turnbull is starting to plot to do a revised edition that fixes the now famous layout error and other small typos. Though the content itself will be exactly the same. There's no need to pay until you get your hands on the book, just in case one or both of us can't make it. I'm limited to how many I can carry, so if requests exceed the relatively small amount I can fit in my second bag it will be first come first served. However, based on previous years, this is unlikely to happen. Anyone not attending the convention who wants a signed copy for the same reduced price plus £2.90 postage is more than welcome to ask for one as well. I'll be ordering the books on the 1st of August to guarantee getting them in time for the convention, so get your request in before then to avoid mild disappointment. I'm also happy to chat to any and all readers of the blog and talk toot about pretty much everything. These things are always fun, so let's have a great time in Birmingham!
