Hey Stuart. Thank you so much for what has been an incredible eight years (really?!) of comics chatter. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog and the fortunes of the UK Transformers comics. I've not had much to say on the Titan comic, because I bailed on it early on as the stories just weren't grabbing me and I was getting a fed up with the endless 'free gifts' which ended up in an unloved pile. I've been here throughout and loved being part of this micro-community, so thanks very much!

As for the comics, I'm pleased that right until the end, Titan could find the money to throw in a few pages of original material. Ponce has to be one of the best Transformers artists we've ever had and it's been nice to see what other writers have brought to the table. Even if their fare has been quite light next to Furman's world-building.

It's sad to see that post-Titan, Transformers comics have fallen into magazine territory (can't really call them comics if there's no comics in them. Screencaps with speech bubbles are not comics), like all other childrens' titles these days. Still, it was an impressive run overall and I'm glad there were people at Titan whom cared enough to make Transformers as good as it could be.

Congratulations Stuart! The Solar Pool has been a staple of Friday reading for the last few years. I think I discovered it around the point you were mid way point in the original Marvel run. Always interesting to read your takes on the series and insights into behind-the-scenes machinations. A lot of your thoughts were in my head as I re-read these stories in the Hachette collection. So a big well done and thank you!

Congratulations on another sterling achievement, Stuart. It's unlikely, outside of your efforts, that anyone else will ever examine the Titan Transformers era in such detail, so I can imagine your work here will remain an invaluable resource.

Given how the UK comic market has evolved during the Titan era to the present, the shaky prospects of a future TF film having any relationship with the past films' continuity, and the mainstream TF animated shows after Prime now definitively aimed at younger audiences, I'm not sure we'll see any significant original TF UK comic strip material ever again, which is quite a shame.

Titan really seemed to struggle at times, what with the occasional greater-than-monthly schedule, but to put out nearly 80 issues featuring original strip content for a UK comic of this type is to be highly commended. As you've previously pointed out, it's a shame so much of is likely to remain uncollected.

Even outside of the multi-part storylines, there's still something to be said for these short punchy strips as compared with, say, dozens of issues worth of political machinations that go nowhere.

Still, thanks to all your efforts, the UK Transformers comics from all eras have some well-represented commentary. A deserved big well done!
