This week, the former letters page host feels the weight of his worries.

Plus Action Masters, angrey Fangry, cups (as opposed to Kups) and the amazing Krok up to more mischief.

All in my look at EXODUS PART 1!

Well this is probably the first time I've seen any sort of advertising campaign for Happy Cubes since...whenever the hell they came out, really. Still have all six of 'em with chocolate cereal stains to show their age.

Where is everybody? Do we think Furman requested some crowd shots but Wildman did not oblige? I know a common gripe with Regen One is the sudden appearance of Magnus and the Wreckers, but where are all the robots that were left on Cybertron (surely the vast majority)?

I like to think the comic is just carrying on the cartoon's precedent of Cybertron being a strangely empty planet. Either that, or more of 'em died battling Unicron than we were shown...

I never liked that Professor fella they replaced Derek with on Weetos. He just looks creppy. I also miss the days of getting free toys in breakfast cereal. Curse you Jamie Oliver!!!

That Optimus Slime drawing referred to sounds like the sort of name you'd hear on forgotten kids satirical show 'Round The Bend' (not be confused with 'Round The Twist', which was Australian and about lighthouses) which lampooned Transformers and the like at the time.

I love Wildman and Baskerville's art here, on this 'talky' issue it's really great and so expressive. Even Nell's colours are pretty good. Prowl's frustration is something I can relate to in my working life. That thing of being able to see a clear path through things, but having to deal with gobshites like Fangry and those above you who seem a bit distant and uninterested.

Going to TF Nation this year, so wouldn't mind taking up the deal on the Transformation books if it's still possible!

Just wondering Stuart, what are your plans after this original run concludes? Will you cover Generation 2? (UK and US) Followed by Regeneration one?

The plans are to go through as many of the remaining post Marvel UK comics as people are still reading.

This is where it starts to get really depressing, with Furman really promoting Grimlock at the expense of Prowl. Not much to like about the art, either, with Wildman at his most slobbery and moist—Transformer tongues lolling in grotesque human-like facial features. I’ll try to spin it positively: at least the storms are nicely atmospheric, and the little oil drinks look like they would be refreshing to a Transformer, and that tongue sticking out of Fangry’s snout in the “Next Issue” section is cute. And I have to give Furman credit for giving us the aftermath, and not just saying “Well, villain dead, comic over.” It’s nice when the story cuddles us for a bit instead of just shooting its wad and going right to sleep. Hmm, what else…it’s nice that Blaster isn’t being the jerk he was in some of the Budiansky stories, although at this moment, it would be even nicer if he would kick Grimlock’s ass again!
