The Next Issue box makes me think of "A Mighty Wind", but that was over a decade away at this point.

Something sad I just realised: the issue before this is probably the last time we ever saw Xaaron proper before Primus takes over. In the next issue Optimus even comments that he hears less and less of his old friend. Whether he's still there beneath/partitioned off or if Primus has actually just deleted Xaaron to move himself in is never explained. 3/6/2018 12:20:19 am
Frankly this should have been the point to say goodbye to the Neo Knights. Circuit Breaker finally getting back at Shockwave is the natural closing point for her story and there's very little to come that couldn't have been achieved with other Transformers. Indeed the brief quest on Cybertron could have involved some Micromasters instead.

I was re-reading US #28 (“Mechanical Difficulties!”) and noticed that the Mechanic looks a little like Vorath, and that made me realise that in these later comics there’s not much mention of the Nebulan components of the Headmasters other than Lord Zarak and his “I am just a man”/“I am Scorponok! Let others fear me!” shtick. Mindwipe and Triggerhappy were not only Decepticons when they deserted, but members of Scorponok’s original crew from “Ring of Hate” (as opposed to, say, the Air Strike Patrol, who never listened to Scorponok in the first place) which means they must have been really angry.
