Yes, we've reached the one moment, the only moment that stands above all others in the British comic. Certainly the best Prowl moment by far.

Elsewhere, the Triggerbots ride off into the sunset and Soundwave uses some sticky-back plastic.

All in my look at ISSUE 285!

One of my favourite black and whites, this one and the previous. Soundwave's Blue Peter moment is great.

Triggerbots though, man - cheerfully killing alien kids who presumably didn't get to choose what species they are or what they need to eat. Mad ting.

If gold Destro is turning up then we must be really close to the end of the GI Joe strip.

I do remember thinking at the time that he was an imposter. In these issues Gold Destro has brown eyes, but in an Action Force issue I have there's a close-up of Destro where he clearly has blue eyes. Plus, in all his previous appearances he was an arms dealer who was selling to Cobra, but Gold Destro appears to have his own private army which he ends up taking to invade Cobra Island. So a different face behind the mask plus a different modus operandi suggests it's a different character taking on the identity.

Destro has been shown to have considerable resources in previous issues (he's a Scottish Lord or something, and had at least a small private army back then) so it's not much of a stretch for him to pull that battalion out of thin air later on

It's many years ago now but given the Wreck-Garr comparison I'm sure you're relieved about the outcome of an investigation into one of the Blue Peter presenters of this time. Probably best to say no more on that one...

Of all the Transformers to be separated from their weapons, however briefly, the Triggerbots must come fairly low on the list - built in armaments is their whole gimmick! Did Furman outline this story before deciding on which trio of toys to use?

That image of Starscream shooting at Soundwave seems to be trying to depict the Screamer from the angle of straight down the barrels but instead looks like his arms have turned into lumps of putty.

I think Destro been completely absent from the strip since he returned to his Scottish castle and overthrew the imposter some eighty issues back. So he's certainly had time to build up his own resources - and the Iron Grenadier seem more like specialised mercenaries for hire (entirely in keeping with his previous practices, just on a bigger scale) than a private military force.

If he's a Lord, doesn't that mean he can sit in the House???

The GI Joe wiki doesnt say much about it.
According to them, the British Action Force version is from the Balkans.

But Destro is actually a laird, which makes him roughly equivalent to an esquire. So, no he cant sit in the House of Lords.

I think Castle Destro in Scotland and the Silent Castle in continental Europe (in the US book much late on it's located in Transcarpathia) were intended to be separate places although given how the SC took so long to be explicitly located (and it's based on a toy) it's easy to see how confusion could spring up.
