![]() Lots of action, massive destruction and even some human deaths as Starscream's plot is frustrated by the Autobots failing to get the memo on their part in his plan and Brawn begins an impractical plan to set free the poor enslaved machines of Earth. All in this weeks issue of Transformers as we look at: The Enemy Within Part 2: The Best Laid Plans...

Ok, i admit it- i got my copy down from the top of the wardrobe just to look for that april fool. I can't find it either. Perhaps its just the Humph the Cat factfile? Though i'm missing a bit of the robot round up having cut out the spot the difference on the other side in an attempt to win a stunt flyer... Also, that habitat robot bedspread is very fetching.

I'm really hoping they'll be an explanation in a future Openers, just to help me sleep at night. Humph is actually a pretty good guess, even if it seems a bit of an odd one.

I don't think Starscream ever looked as good, or been portrayed as well ever again. Isn't that a shame? And yeah I know they stole and applied Skywarps tech spec to Starscream and they've run with that mistake ever since (cartoon and comic). But like foreigners they all look the same.

I really, really like Mike Collins' art - those strange toy designs and gorgeous watercolours hold up much better than just about any of the tie-in boy's comics of the day.

Waaay late to this party, but the April Fool joke is in Robot Round Up; one of the kooky inventors there is named 'O. Pilfarlo', which is an anagram of April Fool. Only 16 months after your original post, but worth it, I feel...

Not to undo the 16 months hard work you've spent thinking about this, but I think the answer was revealed an issue or two later.

Gotta say, I agree Snowkatt. The toy accurate designs might feel more alien but some aren't practical. How does Brawn pick anything up? How does he keep his balance with those legs? Surely Ratchet would redesign him? (That said Ratchet might first have to redesign himself)

I totally get the marmite feelings on the different designs.

Now I got Collected Comics 4, which is in color. I can confirm that its George's car that's the one is getting crashed in to.
