This stuff is all so bad I am amazed a 9 year old me kept asking my mum to buy the comic. It had been made clear anything that happened to Prime in this story was well in the past so the cover of this issue was silly. As I keep saying, these budiansky stories were all so relentlessly crap I am amazed I asked my mum to keep buying it. I much have missed out on issues of Roy of the Rovers to read this drivel.

Interesting that Transformations sets up Time Wars as a final encounter between Ultra Magnus and Galvatron, when the story doesn't really do that at all. Had Furman realised at this point that he was never going to get round to resolving their feud and just thought he'd pretend he had?

I suspect (though have no firm proof, at least until the next Classics UK book and its interviews come out) that how Time Wars finishes isn't what was planned when Furman had written the first issue. He's just to good a writer to do weird stuff like having the future Decepticons turn up...and then leave having done nothing.

I'm actually ashamed to admit it, but I've owned the Marvel issues with Delbo's Starscream since I was a kid and I NEVER noticed he consistently drew him with only one "ear" until within the past four months.

Now here's a game for someone - what other US covers would have made good extra interior pages and where would they have been placed?
