so whats the general schedule of updates going to be ?
once a week ? twice a week or whenever you get around to them ?
The plan is to try and do it once a week, by Saturday at the latest, most likely on a Friday as that fits in nicely around my work and social life (such as it is). Obviously there will be times when there's a couple of days either way according to holidays and similar (such as Auto Assembly in August), but baring any major disasters I'm determined to try and keep to that schedule as closely as possible just because it's good writing discipline to practice working to deadline, even if it's an entirely self imposed one.
Thanks for the interest.
I was hoping the Typhoo gnu would appear in the ad!
Maybe I should photocopy all my “Transformers” comics and see how they look in black and white, with Nel Yomtov’s colours in grayscale.
Soundwave having a mouth in the comics sometimes bothered me although sometimes it looked OK. When he had the squiggly jagged mouth that was bad. When he had a normal handsome face that was OK. The way I choose to look at it, those mouthplates that he and Optimus Prime and others have are like Transformer beards, and they can choose to wear them or not. Of course that theory falls apart once we get Transformers with actual beards, like Scourge and Alpha Trion!
Poor “O.” By 1980s standards, and for a teen, he may have been “super fat” but we’ve all put on weight since then and his body type would be average for an adult North American today. IIRC “O” was never seen again after the mini-series but I hope he got his life together and found happiness. Maybe he’s running Mister O’s bar now.
The man in the sunglasses and Hawaiian shirt running away from the Transformer battle (“Saturday night at the movies”) looks a like Marvel editor Mike Carlin. Might have been a subtle in-joke by Frank Springer.
My dad has an SAS wilderness survival manual somewhere. I read it once, although I didn’t retain very much. It’d be useful to know how to collect clean drinking water from overnight condensation, though!
(Wait, I’m wrong. “O” does show up after the miniseries. He and Jessie try to comfort Buster when he has the Matrix.)
Stuart Webb. Who knows everything about nothing and not a lot about that.
