It's the 200th Transformation! Hurray!

As a celebration, Optimus Prime and Sky Lynx put on a special show with singing and dancing and even a lizard man.

Meanwhile we learn the tragic backstory of Berko (and there's a Berko story I have which is fantastic but which sadly I can never share publicly) and have one last chance to care about those bloody kids.

Yes, congratulations on this momentous post! Thanks everybody for their thoughts last week on why Optimus became a Powermaster But Megatron didn't. Why was he drawn as the old toy in these stories? I am pretty sure the Marvel UK dodgy black and white stories (plenty of fun to come with them, not least placing them in any continuity) would now and again have Op going about as his original toy and not the Powermaster, for no particular reason.

As a kid I never really noticed when Prime was in his smaller robot form. This led me to assume it never appeared, and subsequently caused a lot of confusion when Prime turned up in his Action Master body at the end of the comic, which looks a lot like the smaller robot form. I just thought that the Last Autobot had turned poor HiQ into the little Prime!

From a toy selling standpoint it would have made sense to have OP in his full power master outfit. But from a story telling perspective it makes perfect sense. OP isn't going to war, he's on a diplomatic mission to investigate the disappearance of a friend and some children. Having twin cannons on each shoulder and looking imposing isnt going to help his cause.

I like Berko’s snappy new duds when he becomes Big Top’s trustee.

Great point about Optimus using listening and empathy.
