This week, an innocent man who is bullied by the Throttlebots into having his entire livelihood wrecked winds up having his financial reward for doing his civic duty destroyed by Blaster.

And he's the comedy villain.

All in my look at issue 140!

Also, I can now exclusively reveal I have carried out an interview with James Roberts on the Classics UK books. All being well (he's pointed me in the direction of a Surprise Guest who will hopefully join in by answering some questions of their own) this will be up as an Addendum before the end of the month. the Uk comics are generally better but the covers tend to be awfull

none of those do much for me
they also spoil plot points right on the bloody cover
and were quite late in the comics life

the cover for this one is abysmal ( 140)

I can’t help but feel sorry for Big Steve in this story either, what with how much this whole experience costs him. But then again, I really shouldn’t feel sorry for him, because it’s firmly established how evil he is both towards his customers and his employees.

You raise a good point about water. Our planet is 75% ocean. It’s lucky for the writer that the Scraplets-infected freighter crashed in the desert. If it had been near the ocean, water would have been easy to come by. Even a good hard rain might have solved the problem.

Our bodies are 75% water, too. Ratchet pointed out that Donny’s presence at Optimus’s operation presented a moisture threat. Just being handled by a human must be uncomfortable for a Scraplet.

That was Swindle on the cover? From the colour scheme I would have guessed Cutthroat! ☺

PS: I like that printout from RAAT that Steve is holding. Not only is it in a nice typewriter font and with eye-pleasing white space, it’s also one of the few canonical references to what real-world things the Transformers’ alt modes are supposed to be. (Sometimes it’s inherently obvious, like the Lambourghinis or the F-15s, but other times I would have guessed wrong, like when I thought that Ironhide and Ratchet were Toyota vans.)
